This page explains how to request the deletion of your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.
1. Your Right to Erasure
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data (Article 17 of the GDPR) in the following cases:
- Your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected
- You withdraw the consent on which the processing was based
- You object to the processing and there is no overriding legitimate ground
- Your data has been unlawfully processed
2. What Is Deleted
If your request is accepted, we delete:
- Your user account and login credentials
- All management data entered or synced in the application (revenue, schedules, purchases, notes, tasks, recipe cards, etc.)
- Your settings and preferences
- The history of your logins and actions in the app
- Your contact information
3. What Cannot Be Deleted Immediately
Certain data must be retained due to legal obligations:
- Billing data and proof of payment: 10 years (Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code)
- Correspondence in case of an ongoing dispute
This data is anonymized as soon as possible and retained only for the legally required period.
4. How to Submit Your Request
Option 1 — Directly from the application
Settings → My Account → Delete my account
This action automatically triggers the deletion of your data after a 90-day period (see below).
Option 2 — By email
Send your request to: contact@cockpitsignature.com
Subject: Data Deletion Request — [your account email]
Please include: your name, your account email, and a form of identification if we have any doubt about the identity of the requester.
5. Processing Time
We acknowledge receipt of your request within 72 business hours.
Actual deletion takes place within 30 days following the validation of your request (GDPR timeframe).
For an active account with an ongoing subscription, deletion is scheduled for the end of the billing period, unless you explicitly request immediate deletion.
6. Deletion After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription without submitting an explicit deletion request:
- Your data is retained for 90 days after the cancellation date
- This allows you to reactivate your account and retrieve your data if you change your mind
- After 90 days, your data is automatically and permanently deleted
You can request immediate deletion without waiting for this 90-day period — simply let us know.
7. Confirmation of Deletion
Once your data has been deleted, you will receive a confirmation email. This action is irreversible:
